Thank you for shopping with Tailogift! We aim to provide the best digital gift card experience. Below you’ll find everything you need to know about our refunds, returns, and cancellations for digital products.

This Refund Policy applies to all purchases made on teilogift.com and is written in line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015, UK GDPR, and relevant UK legislation for digital content.

 

1. About Digital Gift Cards

All our products are digital gift cards, delivered electronically via email to the address provided during account registration.

Because these are digital products, specific rules apply under UK law. Please read the following carefully before purchasing.

 

2. Right to Cancel (14-Day “Cooling-Off” Period)

If You Haven’t Accessed or Downloaded the Gift Card

Under UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have 14 days from the date of purchase to cancel your order and receive a full refund — if you have not yet accessed or downloaded the digital gift card.

If You Opted for Immediate Delivery

When you purchase a digital gift card and choose immediate delivery, you consent to the instant supply of digital content and acknowledge that you lose your right to cancel under the 14-day cooling-off period.
This is in accordance with Regulation 37 of the Consumer Contracts Regulations.

If you do not agree to immediate delivery, you should not complete the purchase.

 

3. When Refunds Are Available

We’ll offer a full refund or replacement in the following cases:

  • Faulty Digital Gift Cards:
    If the gift card doesn’t work or cannot be redeemed due to a technical fault on our side.
  • Not as Described:
    If the digital gift card differs from its description on our website.
  • Lack of Expected Functionality:
    If the digital gift card does not perform as a reasonable person would expect (for example, if it doesn’t deliver the value promised).
  • Damage to Device or Other Content:
    If the gift card or its delivery process causes damage to your device or other digital content, and we are responsible, we will cover any direct loss.

 

4. When Refunds Are Not Available

We do not offer refunds in these situations:

  • You have already received and accessed your digital gift card, and it works as described.
  • You change your mind after accessing the gift card and completing the purchase with immediate delivery.
  • You have lost your gift card after we delivered it to the email you provided (please keep it safe!).
  • Any remaining balance on a single-use card that wasn’t fully spent during the transaction — partial refunds of unused funds are not available.

 

5. How to Request a Refund

If you believe you are eligible for a refund, please contact us within 14 days of your purchase or delivery (whichever comes later):

6. Limitation of Liability

We are responsible for delivering digital gift cards that are fit for purpose and described correctly. However, we limit our liability where legally permitted:

  • We are not liable for losses resulting from your misuse of the product.
  • We are not liable for issues beyond our reasonable control, such as incorrect email addresses provided at checkout or third-party technical failures (e.g., issues with your email provider).

This limitation of liability does not exclude or restrict your statutory rights.

 

7. Fraud & Abuse

If we suspect fraudulent activity or misuse of our refund policy, we reserve the right to:

  • Refuse a refund.
  • Suspend or close your account.
  • Report fraudulent behavior to appropriate authorities.

 

8. How Refunds Are Issued

Approved refunds will be processed:

  • To the original payment method used at checkout.
  • Within 5-10 business days, depending on your bank’s processing times.
